Executive Residencies Overview

What are Executive Residencies?

Residencies are an intensive learning experience where you will spend 19 hours learning course materials with your classmates over three days.

Residencies are the required in-person component of the Executive program at New England College in Henniker, New Hampshire. Executive Residencies are held one weekend per 15-week term. You should expect to come to campus each term on the designated weekend for your program.

When are Residencies?

For students who start Spring I, Summer I, Fall I (usually January, May, and September start dates):

How To Sign Up for the NEC Emergency Text Messaging Service:

• Visit .
• When the sign-in screen appears, click on the 鈥淪IGN UP鈥� link at the top right corner of your screen.
• When the next screen loads, fill in all of the following fields:
  • Username (We recommend using your NEC email username so that it is easy to remember.)
  • First name
  • Last Name
  • Password (and then verify the password)
  • Next, please choose any of the optional groups to which you want to subscribe. (Note: All users will receive messages about emergency situations. New users are advised to sign up for the 鈥淐losings and Cancellations鈥� or 鈥淧arking Notifications鈥� groups if they wish to receive messages related to closings, delays, parking lot closures, and snow removal.)
  • Agree to the terms of use once you have read through and understand them.
  • Click on the 鈥淐reate Account鈥� button. Your account has been created.
• On the next page, enter your:
  • Cell phone number
  • Carrier (the company that supplies your cell service)
  • Click 鈥渁dd new.”
• The system will send a validation code to your phone a short time later.
• Once you have the code, enter it on your Omnilert page in the 鈥渧alidation code鈥� field.
• Press the 鈥淰alidate鈥� button when done.

If you want to enter a second cell phone number, do the following:

• Enter the second phone number on your Omnilert page.
• Choose the carrier for this phone number and complete the validation as you did for your first number.
• You can have up to two cell phones in the system at any one time. You can add or delete these in your 鈥淪ervices鈥� page of your Onmilert account.

EMAIL: You can also enter an email to which messages will be sent by the system. Please look for the 鈥淓MAIL ADDRESSES鈥� area on your account page and enter an email address if you wish to receive messages this way. You will need to validate any emails addresses you enter. Just follow the instructions on the page.

Disability Services

Students who may need disability-related accommodations are encouraged to review the information on the (Note: you will need to be logged into your NEC Microsoft account to access the SharePoint site).

If you have a condition that may interfere with your ability to access the programs or services of New England College while you鈥檙e here for your Residency, you should reach out to the Office of Disability Services to discuss potential reasonable accommodations. Students are welcome to either email ODS at disabilityservices@nec.edu or use the to book a time to talk through their concerns with ODS staff.

The Office of Disability Services is a small office working with students across all of NEC鈥檚 programs. We encourage you to begin working with the Office of Disability Services as soon as possible, preferably no later than two weeks prior to your arrival date or as soon as the need is realized. This will allow us to ensure that we are able to meet your access needs in a timely manner.

To request disability-related accommodations, students should:

Medical Emergencies

The following medical facilities are located in the area (16鈥�20 miles south):

• Concord Hospital鈥擡mergency Care and Concord Hospital Medical Offices at Horseshoe Pond (walk-in urgent care center)
• Dartmouth Health in Concord鈥擝y appointment weekdays, telemedicine 24/7)

Food

Light breakfast items and coffee will be available during check-in on Friday morning. Lunch is provided on Friday and Saturday in Gilmore Dining Hall. The dining hall always has Halal and vegetarian options as well as a variety of healthy choices. You will be responsible for your own dinner.
