THE SORELS ARE:

JO JO RODRIGUEZ, JENNIFER ALEXANDER, AND JILL LYNOTT. KNOWN AS WINNIPEG, CANADA’S TINIEST, TOUGHEST BAND, THEY COME FROM AN IMPRESSIVE ROSTER WITHIN THE WINNIPEG PUNK SCENE. THEIR SOUND BLENDS A MIX OF 70’S GLAM ROCK, BUBBLE-GUM-POP-PUNK WITH SWEET, CATCHY 60’S GIRL GROUP HARMONIES.

Behind The Scenes

It all started on New Years Day, 2017. Jennifer and Jill’s husbands made plans to play video games. The gals went down to the basement and started jamming- Jill on drums and Jennifer on guitar. Realizing they shared a lot of common influences like The Sweet, Alice Cooper, and The Runaways, the sound of the Sorels was born. They called up Vagiants front woman, Joanne Rodriguez to round out this already heavy hitting band.

Now, The Sorels are getting international radio play and recognition and sharing distribution with the best of ‘em (Shannon and the Clams, Josie Cotton, Marked Men, and Peach Kelli Pop). Reta Records(Canada), SURFIN’ KI RECORDS,(Europe) Green Noise(US) and Waterslide Records. (Japan)

Releasing their sophomore EP titled “Make Me Party” on February 2, 2021,The Sorels are ready to get back in the studio and hit the road.
